By Bracha Rafael:

Trainbow imagehe Jewish Community Council of Victoria (JCCV) is hosting a GLBTI symposium on Sunday 23 August 2015. The JCCV plans to generate conversation and lay the groundwork for action on GLBTI issues in the Jewish community.

The event will focus on the social inclusion of Jews of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity, GLBTI health and mental health, and Jewish GLBTI individual stories.

David Marlowe, JCCV Executive Director, says the symposium has been in the works for some time, and builds on the No To Homophobia campaign, which the JCCV joined in 2013.

Details of the event are available on the Facebook page and the event flyer can be viewed here.

You should have invited Tim Wilson The Human Rights Commissioner to this panel…
    he’s our SOGI representative.

Actually…better not he might silence you all with his Anti-Freedom agenda…;)

Great initiative and I hope it’s televised.

  • Jerome says:

Very encouraging to see a Jewish organisation taking a supportive stance on this issue.
