Science has entered the Capuchin convent and revealed some mysteries | Preservation

The Capucos convent has been “invaded” by science. In the heart of Sintra, sculptures and wooden pieces from this convent have been rigorously studied and dated for the first time. To this end, scientists and conservation historians researched the iconography and history of these works, went in search of their original layers of paint, and analyzed paintings made in different eras. In addition to being able to give a common thread to the history of these parts, information was collected for their intervention.
